Earl B. Hartzog, DMD

Dr. Hartzog is a 2009 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry. Dr. Hartzog was raised in rural South Carolina and enjoys practicing dentistry in a rural community environment where there is a stronger interpersonal Doctor/patient relationship than normally found in larger cities. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Cadra and their two boys.




Michael P. Horger Jr., DMD

Dr. Michael P. Horger, Jr. grew up in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008 from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he was a part of the Honors College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and a minor in leadership studies. He was the Fourth Battalion Commander, Chapel Color Guard Commander, Junior Sword Drill Commander, and member of the Summerall Guards. He is a 2015 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine (MUSC) where he served as first year class president. While attending MUSC, Dr. Horger commissioned as an officer through the United States Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program.

Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Horger did a General Practice Residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where he served as chief resident. He then served as the battalion dental officer for the Runnin’ Roos of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 in Gulfport, Mississippi where he became qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare officer. His next duty station was at Naval Hospital Beaufort where he treated and cared for patients at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. He completed his active duty service in 2020 and returned to Orangeburg and the surrounding area to treat and serve the patients of the hometown that he loves.

Dr. Horger is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Edisto Dental Society. He is also a lifetime sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and life member of The Citadel Alumni Association. He is passionate about all aspects of waterfowl hunting and especially enjoys hunting with his father, friends, and two labs Doc and Susie. He enjoys the springtime woods hunting turkeys and managing for wildlife by planting food plots and applying prescribed fire.
